Description

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Digital Marketing to support global digital marketing initiatives across the organization, membership, content, and events. In this role, you will serve as a key figure in the day-to-day support of content development and campaigns across social media, website project management, data and analytics, digital partnerships, and digital experiences. You will provide administrative support to the Vice President, Digital Marketing and the digital marketing team, possessing strong attention to detail and great sense of organization to skillfully manage many parts and pieces of projects, working collaboratively and strategically with other departments, and having a creative eye and passion for film.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the digital marketing team: organizing and updating shared team documents to support project management, scheduling meetings, managing invoices, tracking budgets, and contracting issuance.
  • Initiate and coordinate social and content creative development: securing assets, developing social toolkits, tracking timelines, documenting requests and changes, and communicating the status of all assigned projects to other departments as appropriate (with internal teams, outside production companies, studios, membership, and agencies).
  • Manage monitoring, tracking, and recording data and analytics for social and content platforms using platform specific tools, Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Sprout Social.
  • Deploy newsletters as needed, understanding audience segmentation and profiles.
  • Coordinate and execute social advertising: developing creative/copy, boosting posts, and launching ads.
  • Support social platform partnership and influencer activation project management for the Oscars and Academy events.
  • Produce assets for use in the social media space when necessary, e.g. GIFs or simple graphics and video content.
  • Support YouTube video QA, video posting, descriptions, end card updates, and tagging.
  • Perform social media community management duties when necessary, including Facebook group moderation, copywriting, posting, live tweeting, fan engagement, and archiving.
  • Regularly review all current social media communities and QA sites to ensure they are always in perfect working order.
  • Manage website updates across Oscars.org and the Membership Portal, inclusive of press releases, organizational initiatives, social toolkits, content, and event promotion.
  • Manage calendar of anniversaries, holidays, film releases, and Academy and Academy Museum events social calendar for owned and operated channels.
  • Coordinate sweepstakes and giveaways by supporting the Digital Marketing Strategist with development, promotion, and tracking fulfillments.
  • Assist in the creation of one pages, pitches, research assignments, and decks for digital marketing presentations.
 
Position Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience working in digital marketing and/or social media within film, media/entertainment, creative agency, or closely related categories.
  • Deep understanding of social/internet culture and trends, publishing, community management on various social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.), and nuances of end-user experiences on each.
  • Solid computer, writing, and creative skills. Must be a stickler for grammar and consistency in voice.
  • Strong Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and Photoshop experience.
  • Knowledge of social media scheduling platforms like Sprout Social.
  • Experience building social media assets like gifs, images, and short videos.
  • Experience with Keynote or InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro a plus.
  • Experience working on website project management (UI/UX QA, timelines, tracking updates) and with CRM platforms.
  • Flexibility with the ability to adapt to change while working in a fast-pace and high-pressure environment.
  • Must be a self-starter who is self-reliant and able to implement and manage tasks independently with exceptional follow-up skills.
  • Strong time management skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Availability to work some nights and weekends as needed and possibly assigned on short notice.
