Mission

Interactive Government Holdings (IGH) is seeking qualified, trained and capable individual to serve as a Facilities Policy Writer to assist the Office of Facilities, Information and Asset Management with updating DOT Policy Orders.

DOT Orders are subject matter specific under Facilities Management. The writer must have great writing analytical skills to accomplish this mission. The writer will work with the COR, program manager, and a team of subject matter experts to bring all policies up-to-date. The writer will be provided with the existing policy, standard operating procedures, and points-of-contacts to assist with this effort. This person will be responsible for setting up meetings, taking minutes, analyzing materials to provide mockups, drafts and final policy. The Office of Facilities Management will determine the priority order. Each of the DOT Orders have a target date of completion.

 
Position Requirements

Major responsibilities include (not all inclusive):

  • Coordinate working sessions with Program Offices
  • Consolidate comments for inclusion
  • Update and Finalize Outdated Facility Policies
  • Creating timelines and project plans
  • Must create weekly and monthly reports
  • Must be mid-level Microsoft Office user in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Schedule team meetings using Microsoft Teams
  • Prepare Draft and Final version Policy Documents

Qualified Candidates must have:

  • Must have good writing and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to communicate well in person and through electronic resources.
  • Must be able to interpret current policy, standard operating procedures, and external regulations to write new policy.
  • Must have experience with utilizing Microsoft Teams to host presentations.
  • Must have great command of the English language.
  • Must have experience with writing policy or standard operating procedures.
  • Must have skill with managing a project plan and building timelines to meet target dates.
  • Microsoft Office skills; especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be flexible with worksite. Teleworking maybe required periodically.
  • The first policy requiring updating is the Personal Property Manual with a target date of completion of February 28, 2022.
