Share Email Opening Title Patient Support Specialist - PC  Category Healthcare   Description POSITION SUMMARY: Patient Support Specialists assist at various offices within their region, performing administrative and clinical functions in support of Primary Care technicians, opticians, and patient services representatives. Specific assignments will be dependent upon workload and staff availability. What we offer: No on call shifts No night shifts No holiday shifts 6.5 paid Holidays (FT positions) Approximately 10 days PTO accrual within first year Employee Referral Program Wage increase at 6 months to $15 per hour Wage increase at 12 months to $15.75 per hour with completion of company paid certification   Position Requirements ESSENTIAL RESPONSILIBITIES Perform essential daily duties per the requirements and responsibilities of the position being performed: Technician, Optician, or Patient Services.   EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school graduate, or equivalent Previous experience in optometry environment is preferred   COMPETENCIES: Proficient in EHR, including exceptional keyboarding skills Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Quality of work reflects efficiency and accuracy Ability to obtain knowledge and skills on the job or through educational courses A strong commitment to helping people Polite, professional, and courteous Ability to lead, motivate and promote a team environment Proactive, adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure to accomplish projects and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment   PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA guidelines): Physical Activity: Standing for sustained periods of time, Stooping, Grasping, Lifting, Talking, Hearing. Physical requirements: Light work. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs on a regular basis from floor to waist, 5 lbs from waist to shoulder, and 5 lbs from shoulder to overhead.
