We are looking for a Benefits and Leave Administration who will be responsible for assisting with a variety of responsibilities in benefits and leave.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for staying up to date on current and changing leave of absence laws, work-related injury laws, and benefit programs for a multi-state company
  • Assists employees and managers with questions and requests for leave of absence
  • Monitors and communicates with employees on leave and coordinates their return to work
  • Coordinates and collects benefit premium payments for employees on leave
  • Ensures accurate recordkeeping and uses tracking tools to document leave in progress
  • Assists employees and managers with questions on the work-related injury process
  • Ensures initial injury documentation is complete and information is submitted to the insurance carrier
  • Monitors injury claim and communicates with employees, managers, and claims managers on claim status, work restrictions, and leave of absence, if applicable
  • Ensures accurate recordkeeping of ongoing injury claims and uses tracking tools to document claim status
  • Processes employee benefit elections using the company HRIS system, ensuring accuracy of entries and corrections when needed
  • Supports distribution of all benefit materials and answers questions on eligibility requirements
  • Performs quality checks of benefits-related data
  • Enrolls employees in coverage with insurance carriers and processes qualifying event changes
  • Reviews and audits insurance invoices against enrollment reports to ensure accuracy
  • Supports coordination of annual benefit open enrollment events and retirement educational meetings and data processing
  • Performs other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 3+ years’ of work experience in a HR capacity
  • Experience using Ascentis HR highly desired
  • Multi state experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state and local laws
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency with MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to build and maintain trust at all levels, protect and preserve confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
