The historic Pier B docks once received cement from Great Lakes ships, storing the materials in the massive silos that remain on our property today. Now transformed into Pier B Resort Hotel and Silos Restaurant, our unrivaled location remains close to the heart of Duluth’s local tourism and activities, minus the congestion.

The Resort Custodian is expected to continue ongoing training, year round, in the field. Must be able to adapt schedule to ensure meeting check in times for all guests.


  • Set up meeting rooms for following day
  • Support maintenance and front desk staff with conference group requests.
  • Maintain all equipment used to perform custodial related work.
  • Follow professional standards & expectations set by the Resort.
  • Work with Maintenance staff to support all public area maintenance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with other departments.
  • Work with Maintenance during updates on soft goods and furniture.
  • Report maintenance issues by entering work orders.
  • Support sales banquets and front desk staff with conference group requests.
  • Required to assist other departments when requested.
  • Valid driving license with good driving record a plus
Position Requirements
  • Ability to read & understand chemical labels.
  • Lift 50lbs.
  • Spend 4- 5 hours on your feet at a time.
  • Kneel, bend, and stretch as needed to clean.
  • Operate Laundry Equipment.
  • Operate carpet cleaning equipment.
  • Knowledge of computer software programs used at the resort.
