The Human Resource Administrator will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including employee training, communication of benefits, newsletter, administering unemployment, workers compensation claims, EEO reporting, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations at the main office and customer locations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Administers badging process for various customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a benefit.
  • Minimum of 1-year work experience as an HR administration/coordination role.
  • Ability to effectively work with a diverse workforce including individuals with disabilities.
  • Very strong analytical, conceptual thinking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and people skills.
  • Detail-oriented and with the ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency and be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable and with the ability to stay focused and positive in a constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
