What You Will Be Doing

This therapist is responsible for providing crisis outpatient behavioral health services, including counseling and case management services to children, adolescents, adults and families. Services may be provided on an individual or family basis via phone or telehealth.

The therapist reports to the Clinical Manager and is responsible for ensuring that the emotional and social needs of the clients are met and maintained on an individualized basis in accordance with policies and procedures, and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position, working at least 8 hours per week. Hours scheduled will occur in increments of 8 hours scheduled: Monday-Friday between 4pm and 8am, and Saturday/Sunday 24 hours/day. Clinician will be paid a flat rate for shifts covered, and will receive an additional flat rate for engagement in crisis outpatient behavioral health services (including calls, documentation, follow-up). Additional flat rate will be paid in 15 minute increments.

 
Position Requirements

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work or related field.

Required Licensure/Certification

  • Licensed through the State of Ohio as a LSW/LPC/LISW/LPCC.

Preferred Education/Experience

  • One to two (1-2) years of social work experience in a behavioral health setting, working directly with children and families.
  • Experience working with people with behavioral health conditions.
  • Experience working with people with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.

Special Skills and Requirements 

  • Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and support agencies.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset, and at times hostile clients/family members.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Transports clients as needed; operates own vehicle.
  • Required valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance; insurable driving record (five points or fewer).
