Forklift license or ability to obtain forklift license Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Qualifications desired: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent supervisory experience Knowledge of Manufacturing environment Effective organizational skills Demonstrated ability to lead others Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Essential functions and responsibilities: Oversee all shift employees Assign operators to machines Oversee production flow of respective shift Ability to adjust machines, as necessary Assist with changeovers, as necessary Cover machine breaks and lunches for production line operators Communicate quality issues to all necessary personnel Train all new operators and temporary employees and document all training provided Complete all necessary production paperwork Provide safety training to employees Receive incoming material Follow all quality and food safety policies and procedures to ensure products meet all applicable customer, regulatory and industry standards Participate in continuous improvement activities Administer corrective action for team member(s) as needed Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems Report any potential food safety, legality, quality, or food defense concerns to the Plant Manager or Quality personnel Follow all documented G*ood Manufacturing P*ractices Must follow all company policies and procedures All other duties as required Success factors/job competencies: Ability to adapt to and drive change No lost time injuries.
