Description

JOB PURPOSE:

To support the Learning and Development (L&D) program in delivering the L&D strategy within agreed timescales. To provide a professional, proactive, high-quality, and effective L&D service to all staff within the organization. To advise managers and staff on a range of appropriate L&D activities to meet human capital business objectives.

 

***Seeking applicants within El Paso, Houston and San Antonio - Large percentage of work will be conducted remotely. 

 
Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with needs analysis through surveys, focus groups, or consultation with managers and subject matter experts to identify business objectives and identify functional and/or behavioral skill gaps while focusing and understanding target audience
  • Effective promotion of learning solutions in various formats including assistance in managing L&D Teams group, channels, and email inbox and calendar.
  • Oversee administrative tasks related to classes such as tracking employee training provided, sourcing training materials including external training providers, when required, and other related tasks as they arise
  • Embrace and encourage a culture of learning and inclusiveness, while incorporating our organization’s core values into all learning solutions.
  • Serve as a resource related to Professional Development and Leadership Programs
  • Assist to create / modify training solutions, including video, computer-based, web-based, paper based, on-the-job, guides, and classroom training
  • Create and monitor class evaluations for class and program effectiveness
  • Collect L&D metrics such as number of classes provided, number of employees trained, and more
  • Assist to monitor and track L&D spending
  • Communicate and promote course offerings and other L&D events, as needed
  • Schedule quarterly classes, special requests for classes, or team building activities
  • Assist with communication to supervisors and participants of Leadership Development Programs
  • Coordinate with learning vendors for online access to tools such as ongoing e-learning and online assessments
  • Instructional design, implementation, and facilitation of in-person and virtual classes
  • Exemplify a customer service attitude by placing the child, parent, family or lodge member first with every action taken to support our vision “That the most at-risk within our communities, children and those with chronic mental illness, have a real opportunity for a different and better tomorrow.”

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Adult Education or similar discipline. Education may be substituted with 5 years of human resources and training experience.

EXPERIENCE: 2+ years’ experience in designing, delivering and evaluating training events. Experience in facilitating group events virtually and in-person. Experience of procuring training and managing external training providers. Broad specialist knowledge of L&D trends and effective practices. Relevant experience in working within a learning function. Relevant experience in managing administration functions.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.

LICENSES: Commercial Drivers License with passenger endorsement and clear record.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER: Ability to work on an on-call basis and report on short notice. Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs. Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.
