Description

The Sales Training Manager is responsible for driving the creation and execution of a sales education, learning strategy and material for California. This role will lead development of the sales training function - continuously working with senior leaders to ensure our training program provides best-in-class training courses to our store and corporate team members that are easy to attend and evaluate.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

Strategy and Curriculum Development

  • Evaluate the training curriculums and methods for execution
  • Implement sales training strategy and curriculum
  • Support the transition of the training model from national training center to include regional training needs
  • Maintain the standardized curriculum for onboarding new hires joining our company
  • Responsible for understanding VinFast US strategy and sales KPIs in the Northern California region; establishing quarterly and monthly targets and objectives to meet or exceed goals
  • Ensure learning programs meet core business strategies and elevate performance of the organization through collaboration with executive management
  • Support the continuous learning and development needs of the company with the introduction of new technology, products, or processes/procedures
  • Develop and monitor budget for training

Training Portal

  • Identify opportunities to build and enhance blended learning capabilities using digital platforms and in-person delivery methods
  • Create and maintain online portal/app for internal training programs

Reporting

  • Create and utilize feedback tools to assess impact of training programs and capability development to provide a framework for continuous improvement
  • Consult with leadership at all levels as well as cross-functional stakeholders and partners to determine how overall business strategy and issues impact learning strategy
  • Maintains and publishes weekly report with predetermined KPIs

Team Building

  • Resolve and respond to training issues and questions from leadership and peers on the application and interpretation of processes
  • Evaluate and select trainers, measuring performance to training deliverables, objectives, and goals
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience in performance consulting, instructional design, and/or technical training in a corporate environment with 2 years of experience in a managerial role
  • 1-2 years of automotive industry experience preferred
  • Experience designing both in-person and virtual training or instructional design programs - including in-person programs across a field-based / remote organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in a high-paced environment with ability to drive tasks and outcomes
  • Professional verbal, listening, presentation, public speaking and written communications skills required
  • Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and self-directed
  • Ability to travel 25-50% to arrange training facilities and venues
  • Agile in business practice, flexible and adept in change management
