Description

As the Director of Sales Operations, you will lead the overall internal store sales and client delivery operations for VinFast US in Northern California, managing multiple teams to ensure that client orders are managed, as well as successfully delivered. The Sales Operations function is made of several teams responsible for developing and executing processes that enable the sale and delivery of VinFast US vehicles to consumers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Vehicle Fleet and Delivery – develop and manage car flows in a direct to consumer model to ensure production orders are placed and vehicles are moving through the supply chain to meet delivery schedules
  • Purchase verification and vehicle registration – processing of purchase documentation and registration of vehicles in compliance with local DMV policies
  • Sales systems administration – operational support and expertise of core sales systems, supporting headquarters and VinFast store locations in conjunction with IT
  • Sales Planning and Analysis – creating custom analyses to understand performance against KPIs, evaluation of competitiveness versus the market, and development of standard reporting of sales activities
  • Collaborate with other functions and areas of the business to ensure a seamless client sales experience and remove friction points (Inside Sales, Regional Sales, B2B Sales)
  • Monitor employee productivity against targets for KPIs tied to overall sales and company performance
  • Develop performance summaries and action plans for presentations to executives as necessary
  • Support requests from VinFast Vietnam and other functional areas as required
  • Train and mentor new team members
  • Explore opportunities for continuous improvement of the sales and purchase experience for VinFast US clients
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive work experience in automotive OEM operations
  • Experience managing teams as part of larger functional role in automotive
  • Proven track record of success in achieving operational targets
  • Automotive electric vehicle (EV) experience a plus
  • Experience in a start-up environment or with new product launches a plus
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Strong relationship, team building and leadership skills with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
  • High levels of attention to detail and organization
  • Proficiency in business productivity tools and software (MS Office Suite, Salesforce, CRM applications)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with US executive leadership, internal stakeholders, peers, and external partners
