Description

The Director of Commercial Sales is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with business partners and government entities in order to secure contracts/agreements for the sales of VinFast US vehicles in Northern California.  

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Developing relationships with businesses that have corporate fleets and secure agreements for commercial sales of new VinFast US vehicles
  • Establish relationships with state and municipal government entities to secure agreements for government sales of new VinFast US vehicles
  • Respond to and manage the RFP process to secure contracts with business and government entities
  • Design commercial and government pricing strategy including volume pricing, business leasing and ongoing service contracts
  • Develop and manage relationships with strategic partners to enable the purchase experience for new and certified pre-owned vehicles
  • Achieve targets for KPIs tied to commercial and government sales, as well as overall company performance
  • Explore opportunities for continuous improvement of the sales and purchase experience for VinFast US consumers
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive work experience in automotive OEM operations or fleet management companies
  • Proven track record of success in achieving sales and operational targets for commercial and government fleet sales
  • Strong relationship building and management skills
  • Automotive electric vehicle (EV) experience a plus
  • Experience in a start-up environment or with new product launches a plus
  • High levels of attention to detail and organization
  • Proficiency in business productivity tools and software (MS office suite, CRM applications)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with US executive leadership, internal stakeholders, peers, and external partners
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
  • Creative problem solver; not afraid to think outside the box
