Share Email Opening Title Rental Shop Technician  Description Title / Position: Rental Shop Technician Position type: Seasonal, Full time & Part time; Hourly, Non-Exempt Reports to: Rentals Manager ustomer service and safety are top priorities at Bromley and our Rental Shop Technicians are critical to both. These employees have direct contact with our guests, establishing the tone for the rest of the day and providing them with properly fitted equipment. If rentals are successful in their role then the guest is far more likely to enjoy their day. Summary: Primary role is to interact with guests; fit, adjust and issue rental equipment ensuring proper fit. Duties and Responsibilities: Instruct customer how to rent equipment Selects equipment according to information provided by customer Fits all equipment (including boots, skis, snowboards, bindings, poles and helmets) to customer specifications Directs customer to next destination Inspects equipment damages and/or needed repairs Accepts returned equipment Helps keep records on equipment maintenance Keeps rental area neat and clean Willingness to be flexible in tasks from snow shoveling to data entry Must be able to open and close bindings Must be able to take down and put away skis and boots from their racks safely Other duties as assigned   Position Requirements Qualifications and Competencies: Must have superior customer service skills Must be a certified ski technician or have training ability Punctual and prepared to perform work duties on time Must maintain personal appearance in accordance with Bromley standards Maintain a caring and sensitive attitude towards guest Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment: This job operates primarily in a professional rental shop environment. Occasional work outdoors (any time of year) is likely throughout the base of operations. Physical Demands: This is an active role working indoors moving snowsports equipment and using computers and phones for extended periods; however, some movement and work outdoors (safely crossing ice and snow) around the entire resort may be necessary. Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
