Salud Para La Gente (SALUD) provides high quality, comprehensive and cost-effective medical, dental, behavioral health, optometry and other services to underserved, low-income communities in the Monterey Bay area, including Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. SALUD began in Watsonville in 1978 as a storefront free clinic, and is now a Federally Qualified Health Center. With 4 health center sites, school-based health centers and over 400 employees, we provide high quality services to patients of all ages.

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead or co-lead the coordination and management of all stages in planning and overseeing various projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Project Manager supports programs and efforts related to Salud’s strategic goals and priorities. The Project Manager may support and attend various meeting related to projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Co-lead project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for complex projects (sometimes simultaneously) in close partnership with senior-level leaders, stakeholders, and individual contributors. 
  • Work closely with clinic leadership to support community and mandated health action plans.
  • Outcomes Measurement including collection and analysis of Data, Care Based Incentive data, efficiency dashboard data, and clinic utilization data
  • Collaborate with EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Committee Leaders to achieve project milestones.
  • Expansion of Data Collection through implementation of Health Equity metrics to track.
  • Grant coordination including developing proposals in area of expertise and reporting outcomes
  • Program Planning and Development, both short- and long-term, and managing projects along with timelines toward successful completion
  • Provide management towards programs, projects and other initiatives
  • Design, prepare and revise documents/materials for ongoing programming, grants, or projects.
  • Work closely with the functional leaders to ensure timely completion of all projects and project inquiries.
  • Generate work plans and reports detailing the status of programs or projects.
  • Conduct research and compile results as requested.
  • Attend events, and provide logistical support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with program partners, consultants and stakeholders.
  • Communicate with external stakeholders, and coordinate media or public communication with Salud’s Communications Director/Manager.  
  • Performs related duties or responsibilities, as assigned or requested.
 
Position Requirements

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care, or related field, and 5+ years relevant experience
  • Proven success in managing projects on time and within budget
  • Bilingual and Bicultural
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, including advanced skills in Excel, Word, Outlook specifically calendaring)

  • Experience with EDI Programs and Projects
  • Master’s degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Collaborative and independent, self-starter
