This postion is for a Lead Assember reporting to the Process Center Manager. Responsible for the day-to-day safety, quality, and throughput of the Process Center.
Will assign daily tasking, direction, and resourcing . Will be responsible for material flow, employee training/cross-training and production targets that are assigned to that cell(s).
Will be responsible to status others by way of daily stand-up Tier Meetings.
During downtime, performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies.
Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units.
Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Lead or people leadership experience preferred.
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalency required; 2-5 years direct experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to support standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Must also be able to support overtime on week days or weekends as required to support business needs.
Employee must be able to successfully complete internal company based on external IPC training for soldering certification (J-STD-001).
Must have excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination, able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, and will at times be required to work with some chemical and bonding agents.
