Share Email Opening Title Business Unit Manager  Description Role & Responsibilities Responsible for all activities in a defined business segment within a larger business, in this case aligned around like products. Will hold full profit and loss responsibility for the business unit (BU). Will build and execute strategies to ensure financial viability for BU, this may include capital, labor, and direct materials.   Responsible for Product Line pricing Support acquisition of profitable new business opportunities Responsible for Productivity efforts within the BU Full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for an internal Business Unit (BU) Establish Goals and Objectives as well as KPI’s for the BU Manages member work assignments and successful outcomes Resolve all problems related to the product and or product line(s) Respond and resolve customer needs Responsible for continuous process improvement activities within the BU Help Define Team Rewards & Recognition/Utilize Team Resources Responsible for the supply base for the BU     Behaviors and Competencies: Emotionally intelligent and able to build strong trust with leaders and employees of diverse backgrounds and situations at all levels Collaborative, marked by transparency and flexibility, with a commitment to building strong teams An exceptional communicator in both written and verbal interactions; clear, concise, and courageous in giving tough but supportive feedback when needed Comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, nimble and responsive in the short-term while driving progress on longer-term initiatives   Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in related field plus a minimum of 10 years direct industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree e.g., MBA and closer to 15 years of industry experience, some of which should have been in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of 5 years P&L and people responsibilities. Must be able to support domestic and international travel as required by the business.
