Share Email Opening Title 3rd Shift Print Helper  Number of Openings 3   Description $1,000 Sign On Bonus $1,500 Employee Referral Bonus   Job Title: Print Helper Reports to: Print and Lamination Supervisor Department: Print and Lamination Essential functions and responsibilities: Position summary: The Print and Lamination setup helper is a very hands-on position. The primary job of a Print and Lamination setup up helper will include but not limited to mixing adhesive and ink, cycle counting for inks, adhesives, catalyzers, and solvents in the designated location within the print and lamination department. Other duties involved with this position will include assisting in material moving, disposing of hazardous waste (according to local, state, and federal requirements), perform quality testing, recordkeeping, cover breaks/lunches while complying with the production schedule and company policies and procedures. Effective communication should be established between the team members as well as with other shifts and direct supervisors. Ohio Pack adopted a “Clean as you Go” policy so all work areas should be kept clean, organized, and safe to comply with safety and environmental regulations         Position Requirements Qualifications required: Previous experience in manufacturing Quality-oriented Organized and thorough Willing and eager to learn Good communication skills Willingness to be a team player Computer skills helpful Ability to manage and understand metric system Produce enough ink/adhesive to fulfill production needs for the day Operate weigh scales Operate proofing machine Ensure press has changeover parts ready Ensure work area is organized, labeled and clean Maintain accurate inventory of adhesives, inks, catalyzers, and solvents Help all setup activities as requested Manage noninventory items Clean parts as needed Participate in various continuous improvement activities Be a part of corrective action teams as needed Report any potential food safety or quality of food defense concerns to the immediate supervisor or quality personnel Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems Must follow all company policies and procedures This is a safety sensitive position (drug test may be required) Perform quality checks as needed Compile all the procedures needed to comply with OSHA’s regulations Assist in the training of all new operators and temporary employees and document all training provided Complete all necessary production paperwork All other duties as required   Success factors/job competencies: Report to work on time on scheduled days Communicating with your team, especially new hires Systematic problem-solving abilities Make certain to perform all daily duties in a safe manner and follow all company SOP’s Meet all area KPI’s Teamwork   Physical demands: While performing duties of the job, occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.   Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is quiet to very loud and may require hearing protection.
