Title

Network Technician - edit 

Description • Serve as first point of contact within the IT group to providing technical support to end users.
• Investigate complex software and hardware problems then coordinate the problem resolution with other IT staff
• Configure and install PCs and printers
• Create and maintain documentation including hardware and software assets and problem resolution details
• Plan, evaluate and upgrade PC applications and hardware as needed
• Implement new or modified applications, hardware, network linkages, software and peripherals
• Perform regular maintenance on PCs and printers to prevent problems from occurring
• Ensure PC integrity, maintain up-time and peak performance
• Test software upgrades and operating systems prior to company wide deployment Assist users in learning to use all types of desktop software efficiently
• Conduct end user Microsoft Office training (both individual and classroom training)
• Assist in phone system related tasks such as setting up new user's phones and labeling
• Provide administrative support to department
 
Position Requirements Associate's degree in computer science and prior field experience preferred

Microsoft, A+, or other technical certifications or training a plus 2+ years supporting Windows family network and desktop products

Experience working in an administrative support or customer service capacity preferred

Strong network experience including Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols

In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft operating systems required

Familiar with Microsoft Publisher and Access

Excellent analytical skills

Ability to provide excellent customer support

Excellent interpersonal written and verbal and communication skills
