Sales & Support Specialist

HomeGauge is seeking a Sales & Support Specialist to join and play an integral role with its fast growing and award winning team! The Sales & Support team provides prompt, productive end-user training and support of HomeGauge's Software and related services. As a member of this team, the Sales & Support Specialist will liaise between internal and external users, and Tier 2 Support. An ideal candidate will thrive as an individual contributor, as well as in collaborative settings, by providing timely support, input on process improvement, and designing support-related content for Users. The role requires an ability to blend technical, creative, and communication skills.

This position will be based out of Asheville, North Carolina - however, candidates may be partially or fully remote depending on the individual's situation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for Users who contact Sales & Support with platform-related questions.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for interested parties who contact Sales & Support with pricing questions.
  • Execute end-to-end Customer and User configuration.
  • Trouble-shoot and effectively communicate/escalate issues to Tier 2 Support.
  • Manage priorities, completing daily User-driven inquiries (calls and emails) as well as longer-term related projects.
  • Assist in the creation and organization of Support Center content.
  • Assist in the creation of accounts and licensing for Users.
  • Assist in User Acceptance Testing.
  • Assist in Product Testing.
  • Training and on boarding new Users.
  • Ability to develop and maintain long term relationships with Users
  • Participate in conferences, live trainings, webinars, and videos on the products.

Position Requirements

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent education preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in supporting a product; Customer Service, training and/or technical support experience a plus
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word)
  • Knack for quickly identifying issues and implementing solutions
  • Active listener who asks the “right” questions to fully understand a question/request
  • Team-player who is eager to collaborate and welcomes open discussion to problem-solve
  • Passion for problem solving and service with an empathetic mindset
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web coding languages and practices preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in a “Help Desk” or ticket environment, and more specifically, working with 3rd party customer service solutions like LogMeIn, RingCentral or Zendesk preferred but not required
  • Windows or other computer troubleshooting experience
  • A desire to learn more technical skills, including HTML, CSS, and beyond
  • Willingness to travel and present the products in person at related conferences
