We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) program office, in a Full Time Capacity, to join our team in Washington, DC. This position requires partial remote telework and approximately 2-3 days in-office at Maritime Plaza.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Manage review and adjudication of technical and programmatic DRLs via CACI functional engineers and Data Manager
  • Monitor and direct CACI Design Team activities related to product development
  • Ability to independently communicate and work with Government officials and Shipbuilder personnel.
  • Lend expertise to all aspects of Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture for Service Craft
  • Support Integrated Digital Environment processes and functionality with CACI Data Manager
  • Prepare reports, white papers, and presentation for distribution.
  • Develop workload schedules, as needed
  • Minimal travel in CONUS for Sea Trials, Design Reviews, and Progress Reviews, as needed.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  •  
  • 5+ years of marine/mechanical engineering experience
  • BS degree from an accredited college
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000 series for systems acquisition
  • Technical background with working experience and knowledge of DRLs, Statement of Work, Ship Specifications, and Technical Manual development
  • A proficiency with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point as well as Adobe Acrobat and AutoCAD
  • Ability to be flexible with the needs of our customers
  • Experience in the Navy or Maritime environment
  • US Citizen with a Secret Clearance

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering management experience
  • Naval Architecture experience
  • Experience using MS Project
