What You Will be Doing

The Quality Assurance Manager is a member of the Management Team and the Quality Assurance Team within the Performance Improvement and Service Delivery department. Working under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance, the Director of Quality Assurance and the Chief Operations Officer, s/he is responsible for managing the organization’s accreditation program(s), including CARF and CQL, ongoing training, monitoring, support, and implementation of accreditation standards into new areas. S/he is also responsible for managing the organization’s quality record and service delivery programs. This includes performing, assigning, and monitoring quality reviews and designing and implementing performance improvement programs within service delivery areas of the organization in response to identified areas for improvement. Additional responsibilities include, providing input into policies and procedures, systematizing the distribution and acknowledgement of policies and procedures, participation in Rule Watch to determine rule impact on policy and procedure, systematizing and coordinating various compliance activities, and the oversight of Incident Reporting and Restraints. This is a salaried position with hours and schedule established to complete required duties. This is an “administrative” position, as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor and, as such, is “exempt” from wage and hour regulations.

 
Position Requirements

Required Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
  • 5 years’ relevant professional work experience.
  • Experience and understanding working with CARF accredited organizations required (ex. behavioral health, vocational/ employment, long term care/ rehabilitation facilities, etc.).
  • Experience participating in accreditation surveys/ audits.
  • Experience with electronic records systems.
  • Experience providing professional trainings/ teaching.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation/ training skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Education/Qualifications

  • Current licensure related to services provided by the organization (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, RN, PSY).
  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience supervising.
  • Experience leading quality assurance or quality improvement activities at an organizational or program level.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities in facilities with multiple levels and without elevator or mechanical transportation.
  • Ability to operate a computer and keyboard.

Supervision
Provide on-going and necessary supervision to Quality Assurance and Medical Records employees.
