WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: The Child Placement Therapist provides direct therapeutic interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary team intended to stabilize the living arrangement and promote reunification for identified youth through the age of 20. These services are provided in multiple locations, including therapeutic foster homes, households, and the community of the persons served. Provides weekly individual and family therapy, including the reunification of family and treatment foster family, in a community-based or home-based setting. Provides crisis intervention services. Ensure all children receive Comprehensive Clinical Assessments upon placement and annually. Attends Child and Family Team meetings for individuals served. Attends weekly staff meetings and provides supervision to team members working with youth receiving therapy. Submits weekly supervision reports to the supervisor. Provides and/or assists in oversight, monitoring, and development of the person-centered plan. Participates in the development and implementation of the person-centered plan / PCP. Provides supportive counseling and psychoeducational support to the child and family to improve stability and coping mechanisms in accordance with evidence-based interventions. Works with caregivers in the implementation of home-based behavioral supports. Helps monitor presenting behavioral and/or addiction symptoms. Provides parent skills training to encourage family skill base around crisis response and interdependence with community resources. Assists with foster parent training. Provides psycho-educational support regarding wellness, recovery, and substance abuse. Assists in transition in and out of services, working in cooperation with other providers/agencies, and continuation of individual therapy as appropriate after discharge from foster care. Documents services and service provision according to ESUCP, state, and federal guidelines. Keeps supervisor informed of clinical and administrative issues relating to service delivery. Attends regular group or individual supervision as required; Participates in ongoing Quality Improvement activities; Provides high-quality customer service, serving as a positive representative for the agency.
