Job Summary

The Tour Guide Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Senior Director, Ticket Sales & Service with all duties and responsibilities related to the PNC Park Tour Program. The Tour Supervisor will be the face of the Tour Program, be proactive in seeking out ways to increase ticket sales, grow revenue, and constantly evolve the guest experience.

Responsibilities

Primary:

  1. Performs all supervisory functions associated with seasonal tour employees, including recruitment, training, discipline, scheduling, time management, etc.
  2. Coordinate the scheduling and planning of all tour groups and individuals for PNC Park Tours.
  3. Oversee the Tour Guide equipment and train the Tour Guides on its usage. (Clover, radio, Tour Theatre video and security equipment.).
  4. Create incremental revenue opportunities through tour and ticket sales
  5. Manage tour sales and generate new ways to bring in revenue
  6. Generate and distribute monthly cost reports for the Tour Program to the Senior Director, Tickets Sales & Service, and Accounting Department.
  7. Coordinate with partners in the development and distribution of PNC Park tour amenities.
  8. Coordinate with the Creative Team to develop all print material.
  9. Coordinate tour program advertising efforts through the distribution of brochures, radio and TV announcements, and in-game spots.
  10. Collect/record monies from tour groups and interface with Ticket Office to have tickets created for each tour event.
  11. Respond to guests’ questions and concerns via mail, email, phone, and in-person in a timely, professional manner.
  12. All other duties as assigned by the Senior Director, Ticket Sales & Service

Secondary:

  1. Assist Senior Director, Ticket Sales & Service with training new and returning employees.
  2. Accommodate tours requested by Front Office personnel.
  3. Assist with game-day duties, when necessary.
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Communications or equivalent.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Desired:

  1. Knowledgeable in the use of scheduling software.
  2. Advanced knowledge of PNC Park and Pittsburgh Pirates history.
