Description

Blue Marble Productions, Inc. is a world-class developer, processor, and co-packer of branded and private label alcohol and non-alcohol-based products for the beverage industry.

The Continuous Improvement Process Engineer is responsible for supporting improvement of existing processes, improve equipment reliability, and develop best practices within the production process.

  • Provide technical leadership and support for process troubleshooting process/tech transfers and continuous improvement efforts for the downstream area of manufacturing
  • Support operations in improvement process reliability and performance (improving line performance and quality throughput, reducing changeover times, reducing equipment downtime and scrap, improving the facilities overall approach to preventive and predictive maintenance, and managing continuous projects throughout manufacturing)
  • Facilitate process/continuous improvement by identifying cost-savings and process improvement projects and move them from concept to implementation; drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing systems and process improvements that optimize all phases of the production process; be actively involved in the development and implementation of long-term improvement plans.
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze KPI’s and data to identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Optimize work flows to that the actions performed in the field will build the most overall value to the business
  • Lead, assist and develop deliverables, such as standard work to sustain improvement efforts
  • Provide hands on support spending a majority of time on the production floor
  • Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the area worked
  • Ensure personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed, especially with a focus on adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Utilizes all food safety and food security guidelines, including Safe Quality Foods (SQF) good manufacturing practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.

Position Continuous Improvement Process Engineer  
Position Requirements

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field is preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook…etc.), expereince with Minitab preferred 
  • 2+ years in manufacturing operations and understanding manufacturing processes required
  • Six Sigma Certification and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of DMAIC, Kaizen, SMED, RCA, line studies and 5 why's preferred 
  • Demonstrable experience in identifying processes within the manufacturing areas to improve, using Lead and Problem-Solving Methodologies
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing quality processes and operational improvements with an ability to assess and demonstrate critical thinking, adherence to policies, processes and systems
  • Demonstrable experience of using data to supporting testing and process changes (KPIs)
  • Must be able to read, recognize and speak the English language
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds depending on job task
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to operate carts, dollies, and hand trucks of up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs safely, with or without reasonable accommodation, and work on a secure mezzanine at a height of up to 25 feet
  • Must be able to work in cool conditions in the winter and warm conditions in the summer
