Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a multi-operational role within the assembly function of the Plant. The primary function of this role is to receive, assemble, test, verify and clean forceps/cables in a clean environment. Starting in an entry role there are opportunities to develop and grow into more advanced roles.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review all training documents prior to starting on the production floor.
  • Following the gowning process prior to entering the White Room.
  • Wipe products with alcohol solution to clean for final packaging.
  • On imported products open, inspect and open bag/clean and process.
  • Attaching tubes to forceps to prepare for packaging.
  • Printing logo, drying and review of quality of print.
  • Making kits needed for production using forceps, sponges and inner bag.
  • Hipot testing to ensure that the coating on the forceps is within quality standards. Attaching ground wire from the hipot tester to exposed conductor end to electrode or forceps with alligator clip.
  • Rodding product by putting specific rubber bands on the product to prepare for epoxy operation.
  • Podding the forceps by adding epoxy glue for drying process.
  • Loading product to the Clean Room based on production schedule.
  • Follow protocol for non-conforming product by giving to the Quality Assurance Technician.
  • Verification of workorder to product, count and sign off operation completed prior to moving product to the next station.
  • Follow end of the shift cleaning process which includes floors, walls, and trash removal.
 
Position Requirements

EDUCATION: High School or equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

  • More than six months of manufacturing production line experience.
  • Medical instruments experience a plus.
  • Experience working with small hand tools and machinery.
  • Experience working in work cells.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and understand written procedures.
  • Interpret drawings of items to be assembled.
  • Adhere to the attendance and performance polices.
  • Ability to read and understand simple drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to take and read measurements.
  • Must sign and verify manufacturing records.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team player with positive attitude.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to team lift.
