What You Will be Doing
The Family Living Administrator provides daily supervision and direction to the operations of the Boundless Parent Directed Program (PDP) as well as the funding distributed through the Family Support program.

Essential Functions

  • Initially and on an ongoing basis, instructs and advises the PDP parent and individual(s) served (and the prospective PDP parent and prospective individual(s) served) regarding PDP requirements and practices for participation in the program and continued good stewardship of the program.
  • Enforces policies and procedures that address PDP management practices in all areas – from confidentiality and compliance to training and internal controls among others.
  • Supervises the support roles within PDP in performing assigned job duties.
  • Assists the Director as needed in the negotiation contracts and monitoring of the performance of subcontractors performing training for PDP workers.
  • Assists the Director in representation of Boundless in any audits or provider compliance reviews conducted by staff or representatives of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the Ohio Department of Medicaid, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, or specified County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Helps prepare responses to any findings and helps prepare and fully implement any plans of correction.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with all new hire employees and ongoing compliance with employee personnel files.
  • Review all personnel files prior to a new hire providing services.
  • Support the onboarding and compliance specialist and onboarding and compliance coordinator.
  • Monitors and supervises operation of and implementation of Family Support funding program; Supervises Family Support Manager who handles daily operation of program.
  • Administers funding sources to eligible families; Supervises and monitors requests and payments.
  • Oversees response to inquiries from families and professionals, determination of eligibility for services, and completion of annual Needs Assessment for the program.
  • Recommends appropriate funding levels for each category.
  • Supervises and assists with all required Family Support performance and financial reports.
  • Develops and implements procedures to monitor program to ensure quality services are provided; ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations of the Family Resources services program.
  • Assists in researching funding sources; assists in developing and implementing a public relations program; assists in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating other family support services.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position is directly responsible managing all staff in the PDP program as well as the Family Support department.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel
Travel is rare but primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected on occasion.

 
Position Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or at least four years of full-time paid work experience as a supervisor of programs or services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • At least one year of full-time paid work experience in the provision of services to individuals with developmental disabilities, which includes responsibility for the following functions: personnel matters, supervision of employees, program services, and financial management.
  • Excellent computer skills – including spreadsheets and word processing tools – and the ability to learn new programs expeditiously.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Ten or more years of experience as a supervisor of programs or services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience with Advisor software.
