Share Email Opening Title General Machinist  Position General Machinist   Description Job Overview Individual will set up, operate, and run a CNC machine on a daily basis. Will also be responsible for inspecting and verifying tooling as well as the inspection of parts. Reading and interpreting blueprints will also be part of the daily tasks. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Set up, operate, and run CNC machining center Properly inspect/verify tooling before loading into machine Interpret and work from complex blueprints, job travelers, and set up sheets Inspect weldments thoroughly prior to machining to gain the understanding as to where the machine stock is Inspect parts throughout the manufacturing process Maintain an organized work area, keep tooling and equipment clean Must be willing to work overtime as required   Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 2-year associates degree is preferred but not required Ability to read blueprints Computer skills are preferred Knowledge of machines, hand tools, and measuring equipment Knowledge of raw materials being used Ability to communicate effectively Must have excellent problem-solving skills PREFERRED SKILLS Ideal candidates will have an excellent attitude, and are able to work effectively in a team environment Good references with excellent work attendance   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
