Description

Blue Marble Productions, Inc. is a world-class developer, processor, and co-packer of branded and private label alcohol and non-alcohol-based products for the beverage industry.

  • We operate on a 2-2-3 work schedule, which means candidates must be available to work every-other-weekend.
  • Day Shift works 6:00 am to 6:30 pm - $25.00/hour
  • Night Shift works 6:00 pm to 6:30 am - $26.00/hour

The Cellar Process Senior Specialist (Team Lead) is responsible for assisting the Supervisor with all Cellar operations, including schedule adherence, and maintaining quality of product.

  • Assist in executing the daily production plans
  • Effectively monitor cellar employees' activities to meet the production schedule, maintain sanitation, food safety and product quality
  • Act as a check on all ingredient additions and process signoffs
  • Ensure that all food safety, GMP, foreign materials, allergen, organic and Kosher policies are adhered to
  • Efficiently allocate physical resources (finished product tanks, mix tanks, carbonators, CIP skid, Blending stations) and personnel to produce multiple products simultaneously such that all canning lines remain stocked with product to package at all times.
  • Responsible for recording and communicating performance metrics and trends
  • Work with R&D personnel to develop new products and processes and improve existing ones
  • Prioritize and understand the interplay between the cellar and all production lines
  • Maintain strong communication within the Cellar, as well as with quality technicians, the laboratory, the filler operators, the warehouse and the shift supervisor
  • Maintains accurate documentation, records, and logs in accordance with FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Generate and maintain Good Documentation Practices
  • Understands all applicable equipment.
  • Ensures equipment is running to efficiency standards while producing quality product in a safe, sanitary, cost-effective, and efficient manner
  • Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for the area worked
  • Follows all MPS instructions
  • Consistently meet production needs and goals while making efforts to remove roadblocks to minimize product shrink and downtime
  • Communicating issues and concerns to supervisor
  • Ensure personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed, especially with a focus on adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
  • Utilizes all food safety and food security guidelines, including Safe Quality Foods (SQF) good manufacturing practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
  • Other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager

Position Requirements
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • 1 year of experience working as a Team Lead or Senior in a food and beverage manufacturing facility preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience running and troubleshooting blending machinery, liquid pumps, or similar machinery preferred
  • Must possess a strong understanding of batching, liquid processing, carbonation and sanitation
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills · Must be able to do simple mathematics
  • Must be well versed in Microsoft Office and have the aptitude to learn SAP and other software programs
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must have great attention to detail, essential problem-solving methods and initiative
  • Must have the ability to learn and apply policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
  • Must have the ability to perform assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner with minimal supervision
  • Must have the ability to receive, understand and proactively respond to direction from supervisors/managers and other members of leadership
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • Must be able to read, recognize and speak the English language
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds depending on job task
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to operate carts, dollies, and hand trucks of up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs safely, with or without reasonable accommodation, and work on a secure mezzanine or ladder at a height of up to 25 feet
  • Must be able to work in cool conditions in the winter and warm conditions in the summer
