Blue Marble Productions, Inc. is a world-class developer, processor, and co-packer of branded and private label alcohol and non-alcohol-based products for the beverage industry.

The Quality Process Engineer (QPE) is responsible for evaluating and improving the systems used to manufacture and test products for meeting standards/specifications. The position will focus on both industrial engineering principles, compliance, statistical analysis and the utilization of labor to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality in production.


  • Study current production and quality control measures and develop ways to improve them.
  • Write SOPs and train workers on new processes/procedures.
  • Interface with operations, quality technicians, and the lab technicians to ensure effective application of the Quality Management System(QMS), as well as inspect raw materials, materials in process, and finished products.
  • Responsible to audit and report against compliance for quality and regulatory requirements including, but not limited to: FDA audits, registrations, and labeling requirements; TTB; state ATC Formulary and COLA approvals; SQF certifications; and Kosher and Organic certifications.
  • Maintain and monitor systems to measure quality performance, product food safety requirements, and facilitate the development, use, and integrity of statistical techniques.
  • Create quality standards and testing systems to reflect efficiency, reliability and performance.
  • Create documentation that reports issues and errors relating to the production process with efforts placed to find a solution.
  • Lead efforts to identify root cause of internal and external defects for process improvement.
  • Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality.
  • Improve product quality by making recommendations for change.
  • Work together with relevant teams and departments to improve products.
  • Evaluate production process compliance as it relates to ensuring products meet quality standards.
  • Document and analyze findings after inspections are carried out.
  • Implement a working system to ensure conformity and accuracy in the production process.
  • Schedule regular quality control testing
  • Meet legal requirements for safety and quality
  • Maintaining testing equipment, as required.
  • Perform internal audits and validate systems, establish critical processes and prepare reports for performance improvement.
  • Perform quality assessments for process and monitor all activities for measuring processes.
  • Manage and validate all materials and establish corrective actions for any non- conformance.
  • Analyze data and monitor implementation of all Process and Quality Control Strategy.
  • Plan and evaluate process conformance and perform quality audits for various business processes.
  • Provide support to hardware and software designs and resolve all manufacturing issues and ensure process improvement.
  • Monitor projects, identify risks and issues and prepare documents for same.
  • Train various teams for quality procedures and ensure compliance to best practices.
  • Develop KPI’s and measure the effectiveness of performance against quality processes and operational compliance.
  • Document and action against individual operator non-compliance, train, and monitor effectiveness.
  • Design statistical sampling process and review finish products and perform audit on same.
  • Develop operational initiatives and participate in various meetings for same.
  • Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the area worked
  • Ensure personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed, especially with a focus on adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Utilizes all food safety and food security guidelines, including Safe Quality Foods (SQF) good manufacturing practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.

Position Quality Process Engineer  
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Food Science, or related field is required
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • 3+ years in manufacturing operations required
  • Experience in FDA regulatory audits or other notified body audits required
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of beverage/ liquid processing preferred
  • Understanding of HACCP, FDA, TTB, ATC, SQF, and other Food & Beverage regulations preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook…etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing quality processes and operational improvements with an ability to assess and demonstrate critical thinking, adherence to policies, processes and systems
  • Must be able to read, recognize and speak the English language
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds depending on job task
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to operate carts, dollies, and hand trucks of up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs safely, with or without reasonable accommodation, and work on a secure mezzanine at a height of up to 25 feet
  • Must be able to work in cool conditions in the winter and warm conditions in the summer
