We are looking for a Trading Service Representative to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the firm's trading department. This includes administrative support with daily routine functions, special projects, reporting and analysis, and backup support to the traders. You will also cross train throughout the department to provide floating support where needed.

  • Cadaret Grant - Syracuse, NY
  • CUSO Financial - San Diego, CA

Duties and Responsibilites

  • Work on assigned projects from the VP Trading, AVP Trading and VP Fixed Income Trader, including excel macro projects and access database work. These projects should assist in creating efficiencies throughout the department.
  • Facilitate and process the review of all mutual fund breakpoints in Pershing brokerage accounts. Including researching and reviewing all holdings for the client’s household and other related accounts direct with the fund company. Provide discrepancies to the VP, Trading manager and Mutual Fund Trader for review.
  • Assist with preparation and review of morning reports for the VP, Trading
  • Assist with preparation of monthly MOR report.
  • Assist with maintaining an accurate and up to date Pershing statement and confirm system (DXR).
  • Respond to advisor requests for statements and confirms.
  • Process selection of equity trades for daily OATS report review.
  • Track and report all department cancel rebills.
  • Process daily Par Name and Address Report.
  • Complete weekly processing of Brokerage CD Offerings.
  • Assist in processing daily trade blotters.
  • Assist in review of all trade approvals including equities, options and mutual funds.
  • Primary backup for Mutual Fund trader.
  • Backup for Equity trading desk.
  • Backup for the Fixed Income and UIT Trading desks.
  • Back-up for the ACAT processor.
  • Update department procedures when applicable.
Position Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field.
  • Previous industry related experience desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, being able to identify anomalies.
  • Ability to manage time effectively including prioritizing daily work
  • Proficiency with Excel.
