Description

JOB PURPOSE:

As an integral part of the development and communications team, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for implementing Endeavors' marketing and communications strategies and assisting with the departments' projects and tasks. This position will also assist with execution of communications tools (Constant Contact, social media, website, e-mail & print), prioritizing projects and tasks under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications, and alongside members of the Marketing and Communications team, to keep deadlines and deliverables organized and communication streamlined internally between the team and other departments.

 
Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate media and marketing activities
  • Facilitate communication with partners, stakeholders, coworkers, and consultants.
  • Assist in managing content for social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc),
  • Maintain digital files and manage administration of updates to our content management systems.
  • Field media inquiries, draft, edit, and/or produce special communication deliverables such as talking points, event scripts, reports, and/or presentations.
  • Track data and develop monthly reports for organization communications outlets.
  • Produce weekly and monthly media reports.
  • Provide communications/marketing support for a variety of projects and tasks, including internal and external newsletters and website updates, print and graphic design projects, and the delivery of emails, media advisories, and press releases.
  • Assist in the development and coordination of giving campaigns that engage donors.


 

 

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field

Experience: 2-4 years of related professional experience in a similar setting

LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record required.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

WORK LOCATION: Endeavors- San Antonio Office

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must be available and willing to work occasional evenings, weekends for meetings or other job-related activities.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Orientation: 5 hours

On the Job: 3+ months for basic competency

 

EXCEPTIONS TO THESE CRITERIA MUST BE APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT HEAD.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

COMMUNICATION: Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral or written means. Ability to communicate appropriately with all levels of individuals. Ability to present a friendly and positive demeanor to all. Ability to make oral presentations

COMPOSURE: Good interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy, creativity and customer service. Ability to remain calm and maintain self-control in the midst of difficult circumstances and emergencies. Ability to represent the agency and respond professionally in all situations.

COMPUTER/TECHNICAL: Must possess a high level of computer skills for all office functions, with a proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, website content management, and social media for business. Salesforce experience is preferred.
