Description

Blue Marble Productions, Inc. is a world-class developer, processor, and co-packer of branded and private label alcohol and non-alcohol-based products for the beverage industry.

  • We operate on a 2-2-3 work schedule, which means candidates must be available to work every-other-weekend???????
  • Night Shift works 6:00 pm to 6:30 am

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overall operating performance of the production operations on their assigned shift, working with the team to streamline efficiency of production with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and improving financial results.

  • Managing and coaching approximately 30 direct reports to achieve all production goals. This includes taking responsibility for team member coaching and development, employment decisions, and resolving issues through conflict resolution. Hires, trains, coaches and reviews performance of team members.
  • Maintain a weekly personnel schedule. Rotate assigned duties to build bench strength and a 2x2 capability.
  • Follows all policies, ergonomic standards and safety requirements as directed by the company.
  • Oversees all process documentation and training program procedures to assure consistency of operational tasks, and the safety and cleanliness of the workplace.
  • Manages daily and weekly throughput and schedule adherence.
  • Ensures all SOPs, batch sheets and quality processes are being followed.
  • Tracks productivity for measured shift efficiency and improvement and holds the team accountable to established metrics and KPIs.
  • Works directly with Quality Control, Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities on projects to improve quality, streamline efficiencies and reduce operating expenses.
  • Operates at or below the budgeted cost for production utilizing lean manufacturing procedures and cross training.
  • Oversees adherence to inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy goals are constantly achieved.
  • Responsibility to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Ensure personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed, especially with a focus on adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
  • Utilizes all food safety and food security guidelines, including Safe Quality Foods (SQF) good manufacturing practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
  • Consistently meet production needs and goals while making efforts to minimize product shrink and downtime
  • Other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager

Position Requirements

???????REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor or Associate Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a leader in a food and beverage manufacturing facility required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong technical understanding of equipment, processes and utilities.
  • Clear understanding of TPM, Kaizen, and/or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Solid understanding of food manufacturing safety, particularly beverage experience, is preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated front-line supervisory skills including effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills
  • Must have the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to do simple mathematics
  • Must be well versed in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and have the aptitude to learn SAP and other software programs
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must have great attention to detail, essential problem-solving methods and initiative
  • Must have the ability to learn and apply policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
  • Must have the ability to perform assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner with minimal supervision
  • Must have the ability to receive, understand and proactively respond to direction from supervisors/managers and other members of leadership
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • Must be able to read, recognize and speak the English language
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds depending on job task
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to operate carts, dollies, and hand trucks of up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs safely, with or without reasonable accommodation, and work on a secure mezzanine or ladder at a height of up to 25 feet
  • Must be able to work in cool conditions in the winter and warm conditions in the summer
