Supervisor - Supported Employment 

Description

Wyandot BHN is seeking a dedicated Supported Employment Supervisor to supervise case management staff providing employment services and SSI/SSDI Outreach, and Access services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness. This position is also responsible for maintaining high fidelity Evidence Based Practice in Supported Employment.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Supervise a case management team providing the Individualized Support and Placement (IPS) model of Supported Employment services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the IPS Evidence-Based Practice Supported Employment and ensure adherence to high measures of fidelity to this practice.
  • Responsible for monitoring and assuring standards are met in areas of team productivity, documentation and quality of service.
  • Provide regular field mentoring for staff both in areas of work with consumers and job development with employers.
  • Develop contacts in the community with individuals/businesses willing to employ mental health consumers.
  • Manage referrals to the employment service and market employment services to both internal and external constituents (including community employers).
  • Participate in state-wide, agency, and program leadership teams, committees and workgroups as needed and/or assigned.
  • Gather and input data and prepare reports related to Evidence-Based Practice and fee-for-service activities.
  • Insure that Medicaid-reimbursable services are documented in a manner consistent with state and federal guidelines.
  • Provide direct services to consumers seeking employment as needed.
 
Position Requirements

Job Responsibilties:

  • Possesses bachelor’s degree in social service field.
  • Belief in the ability of people with severe and persistent mental illness to work in competitive employment in the community.
  • Familiar with treatment approaches and needs of “at risk” populations, particularly strengths and recovery concepts.
  • Familiar with the IPS Model of Supported Employment, a nationally-recognized Evidence-Based Practice.
  • Ability to operate within a Trauma Informed System of Care.
  • Ability to learn and use electronic medical record systems and specialized database systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook computer applications.

Hours Monday- Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm  
Pay Range Dependent on licensure
