In this role, you will Perform routine testing of sub-assemblies and laser systems according to manufacturing procedures. Perform simple optical alignment of laser devices. Clean, handle, and install optics and optical devices. Perform simple troubleshooting to the sub-assembly level. Maintain appropriate documentation and record system test data. Assist in failure analysis of sub-assemblies and systems by documenting and presenting failure modes and initial troubleshooting results to supporting technicians or engineering. Follow test procedures, best practices, processes and policies. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, protocols and industry regulations.   Position Requirements     Essential requirements for the role Experience with standard testing equipment, i.e., multimeters, optical power meters, current meters, oscilloscope, thermocouples. Technical degree or certificate in electronics or laser technology. 2 - 4 years in a laser/medical device test position. Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, diagrams. Ability to troubleshoot typical problems and offer suggestions for resolution. Ability to work from process methods and verbal instruction. Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination. Ability to routinely stand or sit for up to 2 hours. Ability to routinely bend, reach, stoop, push and pull. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Strong written and verbal communication. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy and a keen eye for discrepancies. Strong collaboration skills.
