Successful Sales Account Representatives:

  • Help clients prepare their homes for future technology needs using a consultative sales approach.
  • Communicate effectively with clients in a team environment.
  • Must have proven abilities to hunt for new business and a success-driven mentality to meet and exceed goals.

Experience in smart home, help desk, audio, AV, network, computer, security, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, low voltage, cable, dish, satellite, theater, cyber, wireless, video, fire, or lighting preferred.

  • Assess each client's home technology needs and develop detailed sales proposals
  • Follow up on all incoming sales leads from local home builders in a timely manner as directed
  • Conduct initial sales appointment with new clients
  • Hunt for business, conduct outbounds, post-sales, and up sales calls - NOT COLD CALLING
  • Responsible for keeping a robust sales pipeline.
  • Document client interaction in proprietary Customer Relationship Management system
  • Prepare electronic client files for handoff to the Production team
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Route sales inquiries to the appropriate team member
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Learn all pre-engineered product options and how they work together
  • Produce status reports of work in progress and submit to Sales Manager
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties as assigned
  • Participate in training and professional development activities

Minimum Requirements
  • Daily commute to our offices in Sterling, VA.
  • One year of sales experience in a team environment
  • Drive to exceed sales goals
  • Be a highly-motivated self starter a passion for success
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn new software applications
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clean criminal record

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of sales experience in consumer electronics or related fields
  • General knowledge of new home construction processes
  • Technical expertise and experience with equipment such as Sonos, Control4, Universal Remote Control, etc,
  • Ability to understand and design simple to complex residential electronic systems

Compensation Rate $40,000 to $65,000 per year
