About the Organization Faith Comes By Hearing is an Audio Bible ministry based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our vision is to get God's Word to every person, and we do this by recording Audio Bibles in every language and freely sharing them using the latest technology. We currently offer recordings in more than 1500 languages spoken by nearly 6 billion people around the world. The purposes for which Faith Comes By Hearing is organized are wholly religious and include the following: To proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord in all that we do. The Corporation's Statement of Faith is as follows: Trusting in Jesus Christ as our Savior, we believe in: 1. The Bible as the inspired Word of God; 2. The Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, God's Son; 3. The vicarious death of Jesus Christ for our sins, His bodily resurrection, and His personal return; 4. The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration.

Description

Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) has a full-time position available for an Event Coordinator who is responsible for organizing, coordinating and implementing Faith Comes By Hearing's ministry events to include the following: 1. Donor fundraising events for the purpose of increasing ministry awareness, deepening donor/church engagement, acquiring new donors and raising funds. 2. Morning meetings, ministry-wide events and ministry tours.

Responsibilities include:

Donor Engagement Events

  1. Work closely with the manager to understand the overall program strategy for each specific event to be able to organize, coordinate, and implement specific requirements to achieve successful outcomes.
  2. Work closely with all members of the Donor/Church Engagement teams to develop a thorough understanding of donor relations and the role it plays in the success of events.
  3. Coordinate events with attention to financial and time constraints.
  4. Coordinate on-site production, performing final checks to ensure that everything meets standards, troubleshooting any problems and acting quickly to identify solutions to resolve problems.
  5. Develop timelines for events and coordinate details with appropriate departments and teams.
  6. Identify and research venues and vendors (catering, musicians, audio visual services, etc.,) considering the best combination of quality and cost and the most favorable terms, and organizing the data resulting in a recommendation to the manager. In addition, serve as liaison with venues and vendors.
  7. Collaborate and coordinate all event operations (venue, décor, printed materials, supplies, audio visual/technical, marketing communications, seating arrangements, post-event follow up with appropriate departments and teams.)
  8. Coordinate working groups related to donor engagement events, as needed, while actively participating in meetings and doing all follow-up to keep participants informed of event details, action items and deadlines.
  9. Track event expenses including invoicing and check requests.
  10. Work with Travel Department to assist with travel arrangements for donors attending events.

Morning meetings (other special Worker Family meetings) and Ministry Tours

  1. Coordinate with all meeting presenters and technical support for content, rehearsals, and presentation of the meetings.
  2. Coordinate with various departments ministry tours for individuals and groups. Lead tours as determined.
  3. Coordinate travel arrangements, as needed, with the Travel Department.
  4. Run errands as needed, which may include shopping for donor gifts using good stewardship principles.
  5. Perform other duties/ activities, as requested.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications include:

  • 2-3 years of work related experience in non-profit arena in areas of donor engagement, hospitality and/or public relations.
  • Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills, both in person, via email and by phone, with high professionalism.
  • Well organized with multi-tasking skills and ability to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and build relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Strong team player but also works well independently.
  • Able to handle stress and remain calm with problem-solving ability.
  • Able to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experience in Customer Relationship Management systems.
