Share Email Opening Title Licensed Mental Health Professional  Category Counselor - Licensed   Description Licensed Mental Health Professional to work in a collaborative position with a focus on juvenile justice working with The Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice, 29th District Court Services Unit. Four days per week the position will be working in the offices of CSU which will include Russell County CSU Office, Buchanan County CSU Office, and Tazewell County CSU Office. One day per week, the professional will work out of the CMCSB Allison Building. This is a new position that is funded to bridge the gap between probation referrals and their access to behavioral health assessment and services. The person in this position needs to be flexible and will be pivotal in developing a program that is responsive to the needs of this population. The clinician will be responsible for providing services including but not limited to: screenings, mental health assessments, substance abuse assessments, counseling, educational services, case management, crisis intervention, clinical diagnosis, relapse prevention, development of individualized service plans, and other related behavioral health services. The clinician will be using screening tools such as, The Youth Assessment & Screening Instrument Full Assessment (which will be provided by CSU), CANS, and other assessment tools. Travel time will be included as part of hours worked. Prospective candidates will demonstrate the ability to collaborate with other professionals, be flexible and creative, work out of different offices and locations, and provide services that are person-centered, youth and family focused, recognition of trauma, and strength-based.   Position Requirements Master's degree in a human services field and licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT required. One year of direct clinical experience working with children with mental health issues. Excellent clinical skills required. Proven ability to establish rapport with children and families. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
