Description

OMIX-ADA, a Truck Hero Company is the laregest manufacturer and wholesle distrubutor for aftermarket replacement and Jeep Accessories. We are currently looking for an expereinced Quality Control Supervisor. Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for preforming inspections on in-bound products in assistance to quality control with the goal of supporting current and future quality objectives and improving overall product quality score.

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains and improves product quality by performing inbound part audits focusing on dimensional accuracy, physical inconsistences, accurate components, and physical appearance
  • Validates quality processes by generating inspection documents, part specification sheets, and other product quality documentation
  • Facilitates inter-departmental communication by relaying current part inspection compliance process and specifications
  • Utilize product return studies and quality scores to aid in continuous product quality improvement
  • Serve as primary contact person and company coordinator for quality related activities
  • Participates on project teams to prevent or solve manufacturing or quality problems
  • Develop, support, and maintain quality system processes and procedures
  • Responsible for coordinating quality validation of new or resourced replacement and restoration parts as needed.
  • Responsible to support new product launch requirements to ensure key quality measures are established and verified through an effective inspection and approval process.
  • Responsible for providing support to warehouse operations for quality process and procedures to ensure accuracy of packaging and kitting process
  • Responsible for reviewing returned goods to determine root causes and take appropriate corrective actions as required.
  • Responsible for coordinating with operations, sales, customer service, tech support, engineering and customers to fully verify and correct customer quality related problems.
  • Supports documentation and reporting requirements and review process for monthly product liability meeting.

Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3-5 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Trained in ISO/TS quality systems or equivalent experience preferred.

Computer Skills – Skilled in general PC operation/navigation and application-specific experience including SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365 applications (MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)

Work Authorization – Must be authorized to work in the United States. Appropriate documentation is obtained and reviewed by Human Resources.

Language Skills - Read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics

Travel – Occasional travel may be required.

May monitor and lead the daily workflow of 1 to 10 employees.
