Description

CPSI is seeking a qualified candidate to fill an inhouse position in our Information Technoiogy deparment. The Associate Help Desk Technician is responsible for the installation and configuration of computer workstations and peripherals, break/fix, and user account support. The position seeks to ensure the uptime, performance, resources, and security of end-user devices and applications in the organization. The technician may also acquire, install, or upgrade PCs, mobile devices, and desktop software, manage user accounts, maintain end-user security policies, and offer basic technical support.

 
Position Requirements

Specific responsibilities of this role include the following.
- Install, configure, and provide PC, peripheral, and mobile devices according to documented plans and change control processes. - Administer and support end user accounts. - Administer and support desktop applications. - Research warnings, errors, and reported issues to determine the root cause, prepare action plans, and document, test, and implement solutions. - Respond to situation tickets in the assigned support queue in a timely and appropriate manner. - Successfully meet established situation quality measures. - Participate in the "On-Call" rotation for after-hours support. - Contribute to an atmosphere of knowledge sharing.

Minimum Requirements:

The employee must have excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills, must be detail-oriented and able to follow through with issues to resolution, and must be able to act both independently and as a team member. In addition, the employee meet the following requirements.
- high school diploma and demonstrated basic information technology skills or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- basic information technology background
- satisfactory oral and written communications skills
- detail-oriented personality

Preferred Requirements:

- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word applications
- Experience with managing user accounts through Linux and/or Windows Active Directory

Working environment:

The employee will work in a general office environment, generally at a desk in a well-lit, air-conditioned cubicle/office with moderate noise levels. Periods of stress may occur.

Physical demands:

Activities require a significant amount of sitting in an office and at work desks in front of a computer monitor. Some walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel is required. Carrying ~50lbs or less, Hand tool dexterity, standing, stooping, bending.

Travel:

Occasional Travel may be required (25%)
