Continuous improvement is at the heart of Operations in First Advantage, but there is a lot of opportunity to more fully developed into a true Six Sigma organization. The Master Black Belt will develop and deploy a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) strategy for First Advantage from within the Operations organization. They will execute high complexity LSS projects, as well as direct individuals and cross-functional teams using LSS DMAIC/DMADV methodologies to achieve significant, sustained improvements to critical operational and business processes, and to help management achieve performance goals. The Master Black Belt will administratively manage, mentor and develop a team of Black Belts; provide leadership, technical and cultural guidance, consulting, and coaching in LSS principles and tools to the organization; and participate in training Green Belts and other members of the organization in LSS tools and methods.

The Master Black Belt role will be responsible for:

  • Leading large scale and complex enterprise-wide business process improvement projects
  • Direct management and leadership of Black Belts
  • Providing technical leadership and coaching as the 'in-house' subject matter expected on the application of LSS tools and methodology for Black Belts, Green Belts, Kaizen Leaders, Project Sponsors, and Champions.
  • Assisting business teams in managing, coordinating, and prioritizing their LSS project portfolio
  • Assisting in selecting the appropriate project type and developing charters for continuous improvement
  • Developing, maintaining, and revising LSS curriculum
  • Ensuring rigor in the LSS process is maintained across the globe and throughout all organizations
  • Facilitating the communication, translation, and incorporation of best practices across businesses and regions

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Communications, Engineering, majors all work well. Preferably with significant coursework in mathematics or statistics.

Experience: This is a senior role within Operations requiring a minimum of 10 years professional experience in process improvement, quality, or business process development with a minimum 2 years as a Master Black Belt.

Knowledge, Skills & Certifications: Master Black Belt Certification Required. Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required. Knowledge or experience in Atlassian products, Power BI, and/or Qlik a plus.
