Summary:

Yorktown System Group is seeking a qualified Threat Systems Engineer. This position provides engineering support to the Threat Modeling Center (TMC) software application Contracting Officer's Technical Representative and to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Operations Support team. Focused on requirements, modeling, and V&V activities in support of threat system model development. Work will involve interaction between kinematics, infrared signatures Radar Cross Section (RCS) area and Computer Aided Design (CAD) disciplines in this modeling environment. May be asked to analyze the integration of systems engineering processes and methodologies to ensure effectiveness of this work.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and review threat system requirements documents.
  • Develop and review threat system models.
  • Develop and review threat system V&V documents.
  • Lead and facilitate interactions between stakeholders and threat system disciplines.
  • Plays a role in overall functional strategic planning of the threat systems engineering process and threat system model development.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of related professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (STEM).
  • Secret Clearance (TS/SCI eligibility).
  • Experience in Computer Aid Design work.
  • Experience in model requirements development.
  • Experience in model development.
  • Experience in model verification and validation.
  • Experience in the Microsoft office suite of tools.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in software development tools such as MATLAB, systems engineering tools such as DOORs/JIRA, and in agile methodologies are a plus but not required.
  • Experience in Radar Cross Section area work is a plus but not required.

Clearance: Secret Clearance Required with TS/SCI eligibility.

Location: Schriever Air Force Base, CO.

Travel: Some Travel May be Required.
