ABOUT MORAVIAN UNIVERSITY:

Moravian University has a long history of providing students with a private education that is characterized by personal attention, small class sizes, an expansive academic program, and preparation for life. The first school to open its doors to women, Moravian has continuously evolved over 280 years and carries university recognition as of July of 2021, demonstrating the richness of our undergraduate and graduate offerings. Moravian University is both selective and accessible, rooted in an "education-for-all" inclusiveness inspired by the vision of the Moravian Bishop John Amos Comenius. Open to students of every background and faith, and committed to being a place of equity and inclusion, we celebrate our historic roots in the Moravian Church and continue Comenius' legacy of crossing borders and overcoming barriers.

Set in charming Bethlehem, PA, and the picturesque Lehigh Valley, Moravian is the place for those expecting the warmest of spirits and the opportunity to transform one's life. Moravian University contains two campuses, linked by the Moravian Mile of Main Street that runs through the historic downtown district and houses the Moravian Bookshop, the oldest bookstore in America. Bethlehem pulses with concerts, restaurants, arts, and all the local appeal of a college town, and is also an easy drive to New York City, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia.

In addition to earning the distinction of being an Apple Distinguished School, Moravian University gives every incoming undergraduate student a MacBook Pro, an iPad, and an Apple Pencil. It's part of our determination to ensure every student has tools to succeed, regardless of their background. Moravian was the first college to launch an honor society for first-generation students, creating a model for other colleges and universities across America. And, we feel so strongly about the return on investment in Moravian University that we guarantee it: We promise to help pay student loans or offer more courses for free for eligible graduates not employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation.
