Description

Centennial Resource Development, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDEV) is currently seeking a Sr. Workover Foreman. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Sr. Workover Foreman will provide workover support in the field and office for a variety of projects (as detailed below). The ideal candidate will have hands on field-based knowledge as well as strong communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

General Responsibilities

  • Will be the primary individual responsible for managing CDEV’s workover operations. This includes high grading and scheduling contract rig consultants, vendors, job process, and field contracts. Will work closely with Workover Consultants, Production Engineers, Production Foreman, and Lease Operators.
  • Trouble shoot rig operations with an eye towards increasing runtime, reducing costs, and doing it safely. Question the Status Quo to continuously improve.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select qualified vendors. Maintain those vendors working at a high level with minimal downtime and safety concerns. Ensure invoices are timely and accurate.
  • Collaborate with the production team to analyze workover and production practices that optimize value across CDEV’s acreage positions. Evaluate failures and recommend ways to improve run time efficiencies.
  • Time will be divided between the field in Reeves Co, TX, Lea Co, NM and the CDEV office in Midland, TX. Must live in the West Texas area.
  • Mentor and coach other team members.

Compensation & Benefits Information:

  • Salary range is approximately $140,000- $170,000 depending on specific experience*

    • Target bonus of 25% of base salary and any eligible overtime wages (discretionary based on company and individual performance)

Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 10+ years of oil and gas workover operations supervision with 3+ years supervising others for an E&P company. Preferer experience in Horizontal shale fields.
  • Must be an expert in modern horizontal well construction with emphases on wellhead and BOP operations, artificial lift installs (Gas Lift, Rod Lift, ESP’s), fishing operations, and workover rig operations.
  • Must be proficient with downhole tools such as packers, bridge plugs, artificial lift equipment, capillary strings, fishing equipment, etc. Must have a working operations knowledge of wireline, coiled tubing, and High Rate Acid treatments.
  • Must possess a strong safety record and the willingness to comply with company HSE standards
  • Prefer experience with operations morning reporting software such as WellView. Ability to review and troubleshoot reports for accuracy. Comfort with computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Need excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with Management, Engineering, Field Production Operations, Vendors, and Accounting.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot on the fly and take calls after hours as necessary.
  • Must be self-motivated and a confident decision maker.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record
