Share Email Opening Title Accounting Specialist - Billing & Accounts Receivable  Category Accounting/Finance   Description Bonnie Brae, a Special Education School and Residential Treatment Facility for at risk youth, is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist - Billing & Accounts Receivable. This position's primary responsibilities are electronic (Carelogic) fee for service billing as well as school tuition billing (Genesis) and Accounts Receivable, recording payments, tracking outstanding balances, troubleshooting non-payment issues, working to resolve insurance coverage lapses, and recording revenue into the general ledger. Secondary responsibilities include generating reports required by Department of Children and Families/Department of Education and other government agencies, bank reconciliation, assist with monthly closing process, support audit and other special projects. The ideal candidate offers a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and a proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel). Experience with medical billing and/or fund accounting systems (Blackbaud) preferred. Associates Degree a plus, but not required. Must be well organized, detail oriented, and possess strong critical thinking, problem solving, and system process skills. Willing to train the right candidate.
