Description

The EW/SEAD Duty Officer will coordinate the employment of all air component EW assets in support of air, space, land, and maritime operations.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • The EWDO is the Electronic Warfare Coordination Center (EWCC) representative to the COD.
  • Understands all levels of the EW command and control chain and is able to replicate all facets during exercise planning and execution.
  • Support, advise and execute non kinetic operations to include space, cyber, EW and IO throughout all facets of exercises to help coordinate non-lethal training injects to meet training audience objectives.
  • Requires the ability to define non kinetic strategy to task requirements.
  • The EWDO works closely with the PCF to ensure accurate replication of the EW assets during exercise execution.
  • Integrate EW and defense suppression assets in support of mission/exercise objectives and training audience objectives.
  • Coordinate with IO Duty Officer and ISR analysts on current order of battle data and nominate immediate enemy Command, Control, Communications and Computer (C4) targets.
  • Ensure WOCs for all EW and SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses) assets are informed of ATO changes. Coordinate any WOC change inputs or time critical EW asset deficiencies to the SMEs. The SMEs coordinate changes with the rest of the EWCC.
  • Receive and process immediate EW requests from Air Force, joint or combined forces.
  • Coordinate with Close Air Support DOs (CASDO), Army BCD and other Service LNOs for support requests.
  • Coordinate with the Frequency/Spectrum Manager, BCD, ISRD, and other applicable agencies for frequency deconfliction.
  • Recommend EW initiatives to the CPD. Ensure the EWCC Chief and IO Team Chief are made aware of any major changes in EW asset utilization/availability or other impacts to EW functions.
  • Take action to minimize the impact of EW/SEAD degradation or threat changes to coalition aircraft
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
