At Visiting Nurse, we do require our team to be part of the solution to the spread of COVID-19. Description

Visiting Nurse Health System's Hospice Atlanta division is looking for an Executive Director in the Atlanta, Georgia area. This organization is looking for a dedicated individual to come join the team that has been making a positive impact on the lives of many patients and families for over 73 years, as Atlanta's largest and oldest provider for in home hospice and home health care.

As Hospice Atlanta's Executive Director, you will lead a dedicated team of interdisciplinary professionals caring for patients, each day, in the place they call home. This seasoned leader will mentor and support their Hospice Atlanta team to continue providing quality, compassionate care with clinical excellence, and offering comfort and support to both patients and their loved ones as they face the end of life, to include skilled nursing, assisted living and hospital GIP services. In addition, this leader will ensure the Hospice Atlanta's quality standards and objectives are met as measured by patient satisfaction surveys and all national reported quality measures, while as clinical director, working closely with the Hospice Atlanta Medical Director. The Hospice Atlanta Executive Director is also growth minded, as they lead the hospice team toward moving from a per diem model of reimbursement to a value-based model. Always mindful that people care for people, this leader naturally develops and maintains healthy employee relationships, and is responsible for the growth and development, succession planning, for his/her team, using the VNHS|Hospice Atlanta mission and values as a guide.

Qualifications:

Five plus years of management experience in hospice, home health or geriatric patient care environment.

Possesses a solid understanding of Conditions of Participation (COPs) for Hospice Services

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Science (B.A. or B.S)

Registered Nurse whose current RN licensure is in good standing

Current CPR certification

Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Reliable transportation and valid insurance

Position Requirements

Education Georgia-licensed health care professional, who possesses a Bachelor’s Degree; a Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related fields is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications: Must possess a current valid Driver’s license.

Previous Experience: Five years clinical experience and at least five years supervisory or management experience in a hospice setting. Preferred candidates will have prior experience demonstrating the effective clinical and financial management of hospice operations. All candidates will possess a thorough knowledge of Georgia laws and regulations applicable to Hospice, including Medicare Conditions of Participation. In addition, all candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of finance and human resource management.

Knowledge/Training: Requires proven strong interpersonal, supervisory and management skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrates knowledge of theories, principles, practices, regulatory requirements and techniques of management and marketing home care.

Computer Skills: Must be able to use Microsoft office products. Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop or laptop, including starting programs, using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.

Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
