Director of Outpatient Clinical Services - Adult

Wyandot BHN is seeking a dedicated Director of the Outpatient Clinical Services team. The Director will be responsible for overall supervision of Outpatient Clinical Services, which includes outpatient therapy, access and intakes and substance use disorder services.  Will assist team members to provide exceptional service to clients by achieving all agency standards.  Responsible for processing therapy referrals for clients, providing guidance and oversight to the intake department and providing direction for outpatient clinical services. 

Accountabilities: 

  • Completes regular supervision with direct reports.
  • Provides weekly group supervision during team meetings. 
  • Assures that services being provided are appropriate to the client’s needs and adheres to evidence based practices.
  • Provides coaching to staff to meet standards and expectations to be successful in their positions.
  • Partners with the team to ensure the appropriate level of care is provided to clients
  • Receives and monitors therapy referrals & assigns to therapist accordingly.
  • Provides live supervision for clinicians on a minimum of a quarterly basis.
  • Provides guidance and support for clients experiencing a crisis.
  • Represents Wyandot Center and Wyandot BHN in various internal committees and in the community as needed.
  • Participates in the hiring and training of therapists and other new hires as needed.
  • Participates in 10 hours of management training per calendar year.

 

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: 

  • Must possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or Marriage and Famiy Therapy from an accredited program.

 License:    

  • Must be licensed at the clinical level with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.  Preference given to individuals with a dual license of Addictions Counseling or willing to obtain license within 90 days of hire.

Experience:  

  • Familiarity with evidence based therapy models for adult clients experiencing a wide range of symptoms and various situations.
  • Experience with providing direct therapy to adult clients
  • Experience in Community Mental Health is a plus
  • 2 years experience providing supervision or leadership in a team setting preferred

  • Ability to provide direction for programming and planning purposes.

Shift Days  
Hours Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm  
Pay Range $65,000 to $70,000
