Position Summary
This Senior Accountant will play a key role in the Truck Hero wide financial monthly accounting close cycle to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in accordance with GAAP and Truck Hero accounting policies, including ownership of accounting, analysis, controls, and reporting. This role will also support consolidation of Truck Hero financial statements through collaboration with all Truck Hero brands by assisting with oversight of centralized processes, issuance of internal reporting, and related projects. Work involves a high level of independent judgment, accuracy, and initiative.

Core Function

  • Manage all aspects of centralized accounting processes through collaboration across all accounting teams including but not limited to fixed assets and inter-company. 
  • Oversight responsibilities of centralized accounting processes entails review of transactions, journal entries, account reconciliations, controls, and reports for timely and accurate treatment in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over accounting and financial reporting.
  • Work cross-functionally with other groups to foresee, identify, interpret, and analyze potential accounting risks and issues and recommend practical solutions associated with business transactions. 
  • Prepare the internal operational and financial reports maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy; Analyze reports and collaborate with functional leaders to analyze and understand variances.
  • Identify and implement efforts to improve accounting processes through automation projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with the coordination, gathering of support and other necessary tasks to complete the external audit.
  • Assist with other projects or duties as assigned.
Position Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related degree is required. Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems experience, including general ledger – Great Plains is preferred, consolidations and reporting - Hyperion Financial Management is preferred, and account reconciliation tool – Blackline is preferred.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, specifically in pivot tables, vlook-ups, formulas, and functions.
  • Ability to problem solve independently and resourcefully.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to think analytically.
  • Ability to break down problems to complete tasks.
  • Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
