VertMarkets is growing at the fastest rate in our 40-year history!  To accommodate the increased demand for our products and services, while still providing our clients with the highest possible level of service, we are searching for a Contract Processing Administrator in our Erie, PA office. If you have supported accounting and sales teams in the past, have a strong work ethic and a demonstrated ability to perform not only under pressure, but also within tight deadlines, then this may be the role you have been looking for.

Our client base is comprised of some of the largest companies in a wide variety of industries ranging from Bio and Clinical Research, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, and Photonic/RF Component Manufacturing to Water and Waste Water Treatment. The Contract Processing Administrator will be counted on to work closely with our Controller, Sales Directors, and Business Development Managers to document some of the most strategic and valued transactions within the company.

To be successful in this role high attention to detail and ability to work efficiently are a must! Experience effectively managing situations where internal policies/approvals are not clear and require additional research and stakeholder engagement will set apart preferred candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret statements of work to draft proposals, contracts, and related documents with a high level of accuracy.
  • Act as a point of contact providing client/contract information to stakeholders within the company; Prepare related reports as needed.
  • Maintain a strong line of communication with internal customers and provide prompt follow-up on inquiries regarding proposals and renewals.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mentality by providing feedback on how to improve processes related to renewals, statements of work, service agreements, discounts, and training.
  • Work cooperatively with technical staff to prepare and submit deliverables and proposals.
  • Identify and escalate any contract related concerns to appropriate contract management stakeholders
 
Position Requirements

Required Education / Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, with a concentration in marketing, business administration, communications, or related discipline is highly desirable
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience reviewing and interpreting statements of work to draft proposals, contracts, and related documents with a high level of accuracy.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude, with a confidence inspiring approach to problem solving and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Extremely organized, with a high attention to detail, and a proven track record of strong time management
  • High degree of professionalism and attention to detail
  • Concise, clear verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Organized and self-motivated with the ability to perform tasks with minimal oversight
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and provide a large volume of work within a short period

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience reviewing and interpreting statements of work to draft proposals, contracts, and related documents with a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience supporting business development teams in multiple locations.
  • Background in project management with emphasis on contracts/proposals.
  • Proficient with business applications such as databases, ERP or CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Prior experience in a contract administration, grant writing, paralegal or legal support role
  • The ability to see the big picture in order to improve the organization with constructive feedback.
