Description

The Professional Services Consultant is responsible for working with clients who have recently purchased the Ascentis Payroll product to ensure they are implemented successfully. Consultant duties consist of gathering business requirements, designing holistic solutions, configuring applications, testing solutions, educating clients, and helping drive user adoption.  Centered around our cultural norms, the Consultant delivers an unsurpassed and personalized client experience for our clients.

What are the general responsibilities of the position?

  • As a Professional Services Consultant, you will be expected to support your clients with a high-level of customer service while collaborating with them to configure our software in the way that best supports their needs.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and other product Consultants to ensure clients experience a unified process and ultimately achieve success at the end of implementation.
  • Work to fully understand the clients’ needs and configure the product to meet those needs considering other Ascentis products the client is utilizing as well as their unique processes.
  • Meet with the client regularly to have working sessions, answer questions, and provide training.
  • Give exceptional customer service while supporting our clients through the implementation process while ensuring the client sees value as quickly as possible.
  • Stay on track with the project plan and work to ensure clients meet their due dates.  Collaborate with the Project Manager if delivery dates might be missed.
  • Track implementation progress in our internal tools to keep the rest of the Ascentis team up-to-date on the progress.
  • Ensure quality work by testing configurations and collaborating with clients to do additional testing before go-live.
  • Work to identify any challenges with the product meeting the clients’ needs early in the process and collaborate with the client, other Ascentis experts, or our product team when necessary.
  • Participate in continued process improvement while working in a highly collaborative and team focused environment.
 
Position Requirements

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • Experience in the Payroll, preferred
  • Software implementation experience, preferred
  • Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to listen to the clients’ needs and then give guidance to clients leading them down a path to the best possible outcomes
  • Strong technical aptitude with above average excel skills and the ability to manipulate a variety of data formats
  • Strong and adaptive verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills with the ability to work with and develop strong relationships with a variety of client personalities and learning styles
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
  • Experience prioritizing issues and maintaining multiple detailed projects simultaneously
  • Strong comfort level with managing unknown variables or issues within a project and the ability to adjust standard processes as needed
  • Thrive in a fast-paced team environment where you are a self-starter
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow through
  • Ability to function within a defined process, while still having the capacity to see the big picture and step outside the box where appropriate
  • A team player who is focused on providing an exemplary client centric experience
